Graham used to be a teacher at the Ivo ... and then about 25 years ago, one of his 6th form students, Helen MacKenzie, asked him if he could pop down to the Drama Studio to speak to her Mum about a show she was putting on. Her Mum was - of course - Shirley MacKenzie - the show was "Dazzle"; Graham became Captain Sam Galactic and the rest is local history! Several years and shows later - Dick Chalkley convinced him to play Dame for the first time. Graham still swears that he rarely wore dresses before that point (!) but fell remarkably easily into the role! Since then, he has gone on to become the areas most popular panto Dame ... he's even had the press describe him as "the sexiest dame in the County" and he still can't work out if that's a compliment or not! In spite of the dresses - Graham loves the interaction that the role of Dame allows him to have with the audience. No two shows are ever the same - and if you were to ask his fellow performers - they'd tell you that it is equally reassuring to have him on stage, at the same time terrifying as you never know when he's going to jump out of the script and throw in a new joke or start chatting to the audience! Graham's comedy influences include Eric Morecambe, Tommy Cooper, Frankie Howerd and Bob Monkhouse (who taught him that no matter how corny a joke is .. if you tell it properly you'll get a laugh), but he still falls about laughing at the young Ben Elton, Rowan Atkinson, and Billy Connolly. Graham has appeared on TV with Bernie Clifton, Windsor Davies, Larry Grayson, Linda Baron and Bob Monkhouse (what a name dropper!) and has even faced up to Ann Robinson, but counts the number of evenings he spent watching Christopher Biggins (when Graham's daughter, Kelly, worked as a "Babe" in Panto with the "King of the Jungle" for four years) as the most important in handling the role of "Dame" Graham lives in Cambridge with his wife, Jacqui, (and misses his daughter,  now studying Dentistry at Cardiff University) and owns his own international express logistics Company, JAG EXPRESS, and a Karaoke hire Company, CAMBRIDGE KARAOKE
